Jake McTigue understands the value of Telluride – both in the priceless experiences it affords those who frequent it and in the price of real estate.

Telluride has been an integral part of McTigue’s life since the late ‘80’s when his family moved to Telluride from the North Shore of Chicago during his formative middle/high-school years. From Telluride, Jake attended the University of Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest, travelled and worked in China and South America, then started his real estate career in Berkeley, California with Prudential California where he was named “Rookie of the Year” in 2003 and a “Top Producer” from 2004 to 2008.

Since returning to Telluride in ’08, Jake has seamlessly integrated his real estate success from California to Colorado. In addition to matching multiple clients with their dream residential homes, he has listed and sold one of the most notable, commercial/residential buildings in the Town of Telluride, The Emporium; listed and sold the Villas at Cortina, a high-end, ski-in-ski-out, 15-unit project in the Mountain Village; is currently listing the individual Cortina units; and is the listing broker for the Rosewood property, an exclusive, five-acre, land parcel in the Mountain Village.

Jake’s investment in the Telluride community goes far beyond his business ventures, extending from the roots he developed growing up in this small valley to those he is currently planting as he and his wife raise their two daughters here. As a father, husband, avid skier, mountain biker and hunter, he understands the uniqueness of the San Juan Mountains as much as he understands the unique needs of each of his clients.

Jake’s history with, connection to and knowledge of the Telluride region allows him to not only provide precise, insightful information about the area’s niche market and real estate trends, but to form respectful, professional and friendly client relationships.

Jake also serves as the vice-chair for The Town of Telluride Planning and Zoning Commission; Director for the Telluride Association of Realtors; and is on the Board of Directors for Bright Futures, a local non profit that focuses on early childhood education.
